History of JB Manufacturing and the Tac-Latch II for HK

Before we start into the Tac-Latch II lets give some brief history of the development of this wonderful product. In 1982, Dave Johnson of JFS, Inc. invented and patented a unique device for all HK's and their clones. For two years it was available to the public by direct mail order. However, due to quality problems with their subcontractors and Dave's interests elsewhere the Tac-Latch was shelved for ten years.

By 1994 JB Manufacturing decided to contact JFS for the purpose of purchasing the manufacturing rights of the Tac-Latch II. The President of JB Manufacturing, John Berenyi, always felt that HK's were the superior weapons of choice. He also knew that the semi-auto variants were always victim to bad reviews when it came to magazine removal. Bringing back the Tac-Latch II would only give this well-deserving weapon a feature it was always intended to have.

The Tac-Latch II is a fast action magazine release allowing the shooter to remove the magazine with one hand. By grasping the magazine with the left hand, the shooter's thumb naturally lies on the paddle and with a slight push from left to right the mag can be removed quickly.
